On September 26, the Scholar Knights traveled to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale to participate in the televised Scholastic Hi-Q Tournament. In the first round, the Knights, led by an all-senior team of Alex Toennies, Mary Helen Otrembiak, Ellen Maue, and Emily Hellmann, defeated Lawrenceville, 340-295. The round one match will be televised on W-SIU Channel 8 on October 16 at 5:30 p.m. and then again on October 23 at 9:30 a.m. In the second round, Alex Toennies, Mary Helen Otrembiak, Ellen Maue, and Jon Ang defeated East Richland, 450-400. The second round match will air on W-SIU Channel 8 on February 12 at 5:30 p.m. and then again on February 19 at 9:30 a.m. With the wins, the Scholar Knights advanced to the quarterfinal round on November 28.
