BOOK CLUB

The Mater Dei Book Club meets in the library once a month during a designated study hall period.  The purpose of Book Club is to encourage the reading and discussing of a variety of books.  Both Mrs. Carol Bandre, Book Club moderator and librarian, and Book Club members provide recommendations for book selections.  After selecting the books to read, usually two or three books each month, Mrs. Bandre orders and delivers the books.  Thus, students are not required to purchase any books.

At the meetings, refreshments are often served and the discussions become quite lively!

In the spring, Book Club members enjoy a murder mystery event after school.  Students are given a scripted role to play and try to discover the criminal within their midst.

All Mater Dei students are welcome to join Book Club at any time throughout the year.

For additional information, please contact Book Club moderator Mrs. Carol Bandre.
