All parents are invited to serve as active members of the following parent organizations, which provide support that is essential to the success of our students.

Mothers and Friends
Mothers and Friends, which began in 1958, meets on the second Monday of each month at 7:30 pm in the cafeteria. The purpose of Mothers and Friends is to promote a positive school environment for the benefit of our students and to provide financial support to supplement and enhance the educational and spiritual environment of Mater Dei. Thus, the members work together for the success of our students.
In addition to sponsoring two quilt bingos, Mothers and Friends members also host “The Knight Goes On,” our post-prom party. The Mothers and Friends annual dinner auction, which is also held in the spring, is the largest fundraiser, having raised over $1,000,000 for the benefit of our students!

Fathers and Friends
Fathers and Friends, which was created in 1958, meets on the last Monday of each month at 7:30 pm in the cafeteria. The purpose of Fathers and Friends is to provide financial support to supplement and to enhance the athletic programs and facilities of Mater Dei. Often times, the members also provide the manual labor required to complete special projects.
In addition to two “Special Projects” raffles per year and the Fathers and Friends monthly raffles, Fathers and Friends members also sponsor 50/50 drawings at athletic events. In the spring, members host both a breakfast and a bowling tournament. Finally, in June, members sponsor the “Mega Raffle” and Golf Tournament. As a result of these activities, Fathers and Friends have recently provided a new press box at the athletic stadium, renovations to both the baseball and softball fields, bleachers for the main gym, a score board for the new gym, and weights for the weight room.

Band Parents
Band Parents meet on the third Monday of each month at 7:30 pm in the band room. The parents dedicate themselves to providing both financial support and volunteers for programs and activities that enhance the experiences of our musicians.
In the fall, Band Parents sells concessions and spirit items at all home football games. Members then host a chicken dinner and a trivia night in the spring. Additional small fundraisers, which vary each year, are used to raise funds to offset the cost of major activities, such as recent trips to Disney World, Indianapolis, and New York.
As a result of these fundraising efforts, Band Parents has provided funds for uniforms, instruments, instrument repairs, flags, and music, in addition to providing a chili supper and a pizza party after marching competitions.
