Twenty-six members of Mater Dei’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter took a field trip to The Fabulous Fox in St. Louis and the Southwest Airlines terminal at Lambert International Airport. The tour at The Fox was enjoyed by all, especially going backstage exploring all the murals and signatures of all the past performers. Southwest Airlines proved to be an exciting tour, reports FBLA moderator Mrs. Jackie Chiarolanza. The students were led through the t point (where the bags come down a belt and are dispersed for each individual flight), operations (load and balance, flight plans), provisioning (snack, drinks stored), and finally exploring a Boeing 737 – 700.

Maddy Mensing, Emily Deeba, Clare Chiarolanza, Haley Johnson, and Shannon Mensing were among the group of MD FBLA members who were allowed to tour a Boeing 737-700 at the Southwest terminal.
