On Tuesday, February 28, the Scholar Knights won the annual Clinton County Scholar Bowl Tournament with a 3-0 record against Carlyle, Central, and Wesclin.
In match one against the Carlyle Indians, the Knights outpaced the Indians to win 390-10. In match two, the Scholar Knights faced the Central Cougars. Trailing after the first four questions, the Knights claimed the lead at question five and never looked back, winning 430-150. In the final match, the Knights took on the Wesclin Warriors in a much-anticipated rematch after the Knights won the Illinois Masonic Academic Bowl Championship following a narrow victory over the Warriors. Leading 210-100 at halftime, the Knights remained strong in the second half and won 410-240.
Ethan Schumacher led the Scholar Knights with sixteen toss ups, followed by Ben Logullo (7), Nick Toennies (6), John Hund (5), John Hilmes (1), Anthony Lepore (1), Jaden Meadows (1) and Alex Rivera (1). Minh Le, Becca Moss and Drew Potthast also contributed to the victories.
