Congratulations to Mai Khuc, our Student of the Week for the week of April 23!  In his nomination, English teacher Mr. Scott Timmermann stated, “I am pleased to select Mai Khuc as Student of the Week.  Mai is enrolled in my Methods of Writing course and my Speech course, and she has displayed model characteristics in both courses.  Mai also shined by eclipsing the 100-toss up plateau in scholar bowl, helping the Scholar Knights advance to the IHSA Class 2A State Final Tournament. Mai is also Mater Dei’s most decorated WYSE participant this year, as she advanced to the WYSE Academic Challenge State Championship at the University of Illinois in both math and physics.  Mai won the second-place medal in physics.  Mai sets a strong example for what can be accomplished through hard work and dedication.”
