Mr. Blake Korte – Week of February 4, 2019 In his nomination, Mr. Scott Timmermann stated, “Mr. Korte has the band gearing up for tours of the local grade schools. Under his leadership, the Mater Dei Band hopes to inspire a love of music for the next generation of future Mater Dei Knights! Although the band room is all the way down on the east end of the building, Mr. Korte’s influence can be felt in every room and hallway in the school. Congratulations, Mr. Korte!”
Mr. Thomas Schniers – Week of February 11 In his nomination, Mr. Blake Korte stated, “Mr. Schniers has been a positive addition to the staff at Mater Dei. He brings a passion for theology to his classroom and displays a caring demeanor towards all students. In addition to his classroom responsibilities, Mr. Schniers is serving as an assistant coach for the Mater Dei baseball team. Congratulations, Mr. Schniers!”
Ms. Molly Cowgill – Week of February 18 In his nomination, Mr. Thomas Schniers stated, “Ms. Cowgill demonstrates constant passion and dedication to her students as an educator. She is always formulating ways to bring the beauty of our Catholic faith into the lives of our students. In addition to teaching sophomore and senior theology, Ms. Cowgill oversees our Liturgical Music Group. The members of this group greatly contribute to providing a reverent and joyful atmosphere for our school Masses. Congratulations, Ms. Cowgill!”
Mr. Tom Hustedde – Week of February 25 In her nomination, Ms. Molly Cowgill stated, “Mr. Hustedde brings an incredible work ethic, compassion, and love of the faith into his classroom. His passion for teaching is evident not only in the classroom, but also at the work site with his building trades students. He is an asset to the Mater Dei community. Thank you, Mr. Hustedde, for all you do to benefit our school!”
