Our St. Vincent de Paul Society is pleased to announce that during the first quarter of the 2019-202 school year, the Mater Dei family donated an amazing total of $6,084.82 through class mission collections, special collections, and special events!

Specifically, a total of $1,059.82 was donated to class missions: the Class of 2023 supports orphanages in Haiti and Venezuela, the Class of 2022 supports Santa Clara Scholarship Fund for students in Guatemala, the Class of 2021 supports Sr. Thea Bowman School in East St. Louis, and the Class of 2020 supports St. Anne Mission Hospital in Kenya, Africa.

In addition, the Mater Dei family donated $1,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Eli Lobb; $3,575 to the Belleville Council of St. Vincent de Paul Society, which was raised from our Walk for the Poor; $250 to Catholic Relief Services for Hurricane Dorian relief in the Bahamas, which was raised from a Teens for Life bake sale; and $200 to Small Victories Ministries, which was raised from pro-life shirt sales.
