Thank you for all you do, Kylie!” Kylie is the daughter of Jason and Michell Stockmann of Breese and a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.

Kailynn Kruep
Congratulations to freshman Kailynn Kruep, our Student of the Week for the week of February 3! In her nomination, English teacher Mrs. Melissa Kunkle stated, “I wholeheartedly select freshman Kailynn Kruep as Student of the Week. Each afternoon, I look forward to seeing her walk into my classroom with her ever-so-slight smile. In our English class, Kailynn is an absolute “go-getter.” Though literature and grammar and composition do not always come easily for her, she is nonetheless undaunted! She will ask for help as many times as necessary so that she understands the lesson at hand. I admire her tenacity in putting the extra time and effort to succeed. She approaches each assignment with the genuine intention of succeeding. And succeed she has. Kailynn is a definite lead to follow. Hearty congratulations to you, Kailynn, for your determination and perseverance!” Kailynn is the daughter of Jessica and Matthew Horn of Sandoval.
Zach Shemonic
Congratulations to junior Zach Shemonic, our Student of the Week for the week of February 10! In his nomination, Director of Bands Mr. Blake Korte stated, “It is my pleasure to select Zach for Student of the Week. Zach has recently impressed me with his work ethic in the band room. He spends many study halls practicing his instruments for the various ensembles of which he is a member in order to ensure he is prepared for the next rehearsal. Moreover, Zach selflessly volunteers his time to clean the band room. Thanks for your efforts, Zach!” Zach is the son of Dennis Shemonic and Dina Serven of DuBois and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Kyusang Lee
Congratulations to junior Kyusang Lee, our Student of the Week for the week of February 17! In her nomination, English teacher Mrs. Donna Goetz stated, “Kyusang moved up a level in English this year. He has worked harder than anyone in the class to perfect his command of the English language. He comes after school when he needs extra help and is quick to master those concepts. His one-page analysis of the three non-fiction speeches we read was detailed and showed a tremendous amount of thought and effort. His short story last semester was creative and unique. Although math comes easily for him, he pushes himself in my class to exceed the standards. Kyusang most definitely deserves this recognition!” While in the United States, Kyusang lives with the Geri McGee family in Breese.

Keep living our mission!” Kiersten is the daughter of Robert and Staci Kennedy of Mt. Vernon.
