Wren Heiligenstein
Congratulations to senior Wren Heiligenstein, our Student of the Week for the week of October 7! In his nomination, science teacher Mr. Dwight Thomas stated, “Wren is an outstanding student in both my Physics Honors and Chemistry II courses. In addition, she shares her school spirit as a member of our outstanding cheer squad. Finally, she shares her musical talents as a pianist in our marching band and jazz band, a flutist in our wind ensemble, and a vocalist in our noon chorus. Wren truly serves as model of using and sharing our God-given talents. Congratulations, Wren!” Wren is the daughter of Joe and Ann Heiligenstein of Trenton and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton.
Jun Moon
Congratulations to senior Jun Moon, our Student of the Week for the week of October 14! In his nomination, physical education teacher Mr. Jim Stiebel stated, “Jun is such a joy to be around! In the classroom, he is an excellent student with outstanding character. Outside the classroom, he loves to be involved and to interact with his peers. His upbeat personality is infectious and loved by all! Congratulations, Jun!” Jun is the son of Sungtae Moon and Moonjung Kim of Soth Korea. His host parent is Chad Rakers of Breese.
Katie Toennies
Congratulations to senior Katie Toennies, our Student of the Week for the week of October 21! In his nomination, theology teacher Mr. Thomas Schniers stated, “Katie is a real joy to have in class! She is always diligent in the classroom, and she constantly demonstrates a firm understanding of complex content in theology class. Along with her hard work in the classroom, Katie also works hard outside the classroom and gives of herself in a variety of extracurricular activities.
